OUR SPECIAL COMPANIONS

Below are some perfect companions who need a special home.

FIV CATS: more info in this PDF - click to download FIV Info.pdf

FIV positive cats often lead long, healthy lives.
FIV is a virus that affects only cats. The initials stand for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.
This basically means that the effect of the virus is to reduce the cat's immune system, making it more susceptible to infection - put simply, it can't fight off infection as well as a non-FIV cat.
In itself, FIV is not serious, it is the other infections that the cat may pick up, which can cause the problem in a FIV cat, due to the weakness in the immune system.
It is important to realize that even with a positive test for FIV,
a cat can lead a reasonably normal life span.

 Bouncer

Cat Stats
Male - large
Born in 2005
Very affectionate
Playful

FIV +
Needs no un-infected cats
Needs good, high-protein, nutrition

Bouncer was living outdoors for more than a year, getting into fights
with other males for territory and females. The normal life of an outdoor cat. Because of this he, too, is FIV positive.

He's a large brown tabby who is actually a sweet, mellow, affectionate guy now that he does not have to fight anymore. He and Brownie get along fine.

Both Brownie and Bouncer have been vaccinated and sterilized. They are both young cats with many years ahead of them. They just need a good home & they will return your love many time over.
